dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to explore the problems faced by patients with cancer of Oesophagus with stent tube inserted. Descriptive phenomenological qualitative study design was used. The study had eight participants, all males, who were selected through purposive sampling In-depth interview, using an interview guide was used for data collection and the data was analysed using content analysis. Results of this study revealed that participants experience some problems with stent such as pain in the throat, heart burn and blockage of the stent tube. It was also noted that there are some problems which the participants face that are not related to the stent such as vomiting, coughing and Dyspnoea. However, no procedural complications were experienced by the participants hence need for further research. The results of this study will 1 help medical people on prevention and management of problems faced by patients with stent to improve their quality of life.en_US
