dc.description.abstractThis write up is a research proposal aimed at exploring the factors associated with increased STI cases at Kamuzu Central Hospital. This research study is going to employ a qualitative research design and a sample of 20 subjects will be recruited using convenient sampling. The participants will be male and female STI clients, health workers from the clinic and other general clients from Kamuzu Central Hospital. An interview guide will be used to collect data where by every participant will give their own views on the questions being asked. Ethical consideration will be taken into account by keeping the subjects' information private and confidential and explaining to them all their rights if they choose to participate in the research study. Data collection and analysis will take about 4 weeks and the whole project will approximately cost 32,000MK. The findings of this study will be disseminated through a dissertation and copies will be sent to KCH STI clinic which is manned by UNC project, KCN library and other stakeholders. The findings of this study will also be presented in conferences.en_US
